Purpose of the role:

As a team leader your focus must entirely be on managing the performance and wellbeing of your team. You must analyse performance and look to continuously improve in line with business expectations. Key metrics include Sales, Compliance, customer service and productivity.

The team leader is accountable for driving the direction and culture within the team. You must inspire, develop and motivate your team to achieve higher standard set by the company. You must lead by example and apply a hands on approach to coaching and the progression of your people.

Job Role:

• Lead and manage the team to deliver company targets
• Coach and performance manage the team to deliver higher standards
• Manage absence and resource of the team in line with business expectations
• Identify risks and take action where required
• Manage change methodically and in a structured way
• Hold regular and purposeful team briefings and meetings.
• Manage business stakeholders effectively
• Complete statistical analysis and build plans to improve performance
• Develop your team using PDP’s and continuous improvement approach
• Manage projects as required by line manager
• Contribute to the wider business strategy when required
• Complete regular 121’s with your team
• Manage customer escalations where required

 Experience/Skills:

• Proven experience as a team leader ideally in motor insurance
• Adept at managing change
• Capable of using MS programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Be creative and forward thinking
• Capable of coaching, training and managing performance
• Outstanding stakeholder management
• Extremely motivated, tenacious and methodical
